The Digital TTRPG app Gamebox is now live.

Gamebox Is Now Live — Merry Christmas!

Today, on Christmas Day, I’m incredibly excited (and honestly a little proud) to finally say:

Gamebox is live.

What started as a small passion project has grown into a full application I’m genuinely excited to share with other Dungeon Masters and Game Masters around the world.

From Passion Project to Something Bigger

Gamebox began with a simple idea:
make digital TV tabletop gaming easier, smoother, and more immersive for GMs.

Like many DMs, I loved the idea of running games on a shared screen at the table — maps, effects, atmosphere — but found the setup clunky, fragile, or distracting during play. Too many tools, too many steps, too many moments where immersion broke because something didn’t quite work.

Gamebox was built to solve that.

The goal has always been simple:

  • Spend less time fiddling with tools

  • Spend more time telling great stories

Solving a Real GM Problem

At its core, Gamebox is about making digital tabletop gaming feel effortless.

Whether you’re running:

  • A TV at the table

  • A second screen for players

  • Or a shared digital display

Gamebox is designed to let you:

  • Load maps quickly

  • Control fog of war and effects

  • Drop in spells, props, and atmosphere

  • Keep the focus where it belongs — on the game

A Surprise Feature That Made the Cut

One of the unexpected wins before launch was the built-in audio player.

Originally planned for later, the audio system came together earlier than expected — and it felt too good not to include.

You can now:

  • Play background music

  • Trigger sound effects

  • Manage audio directly alongside your visuals

No extra apps. No tab juggling. Just atmosphere when you need it.

Just the Beginning

Launching Gamebox is a huge milestone, but it’s very much the beginning of the journey.

There are more features, effects, and ideas already planned — all aimed at making your sessions more immersive and easier to run. The roadmap ahead is exciting, and the direction Gamebox takes will be shaped heavily by the people who use it.

We’d Love Your Feedback

If you give Gamebox a try, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think:

  • What works

  • What doesn’t

  • What you wish it could do

Your feedback will directly influence where Gamebox goes next.

Merry Christmas

If you’re running a game over the holidays — or planning one for the new year — I hope Gamebox helps bring a little extra magic to your table.

Thank you for the support, encouragement, and curiosity that helped get this project over the line.

Merry Christmas, and happy adventuring.

Sign up and give it a go!

And keep an eye out the tutorials!
